Sidney Harth

One of the great personalities of the American violin art, Sidney Harth (b. 1925) graduated of the Cleveland (his home town) Institute of Music, and later student with such legendary educators as Mishel Piastro and George Enescu in New York. He was laureate of numerous prestigious competitions, and a 'regular' of the most famous concert venues of the world: his performances included concerts with NBC Orchestra conducted by Arturo Toscanini. A concertmaster, soloist and conductor of most celebrated American orchestras (Chicago Symphony, New York Philharmonic or Los Angeles Philharmonic) as well as a splendid chamber musician. Thirty years after winning a prize in Poznań, he returned here as soloist and conductor.
