Erich Krüger
is a well-known soloist, chamber musician and educator. He graduated from Hanns Eisler Hochschule für Musik in Berlin, where he studied with Prof. Alfred Lipka. For twenty years he was soloist with the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra. Winner of Markneukirchen (Germany, 1977), Prague Spring (Czechoslovakia, 1984) and Vercelli (Italy, 1985) international competitions, since 1979 he has taught at Hanns Eisler Hochschule für Musik in Berlin. In 1997, he was appointed professor of viola at Franz Liszt Hochschule für Musik. The artist runs frequent master classes; many of his students have made a lasting impression on the international music circuit and won several international competitions.

Erich Krüger is a member of various chamber music ensembles, incl. Bach-Collegium Stuttgart, Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach Chamber Orchestra, or Victoria-Mullova-Ensemble. He has performed in Europe, Asia, North and South America, and made numerous CD, radio and TV recordings.
